tactic for attacking choke bases

Post  WinterWolf68 on Wed Jul 20, 2011 4:18 am

i am finding to attack chokes is heavy close range fire......however, be sure u have good def to get to those chokes. keep your long and mid range aside in case u get through. you'll need them for the outpost in the center. again, defenses in this case is very essential for chokes.

hopefully someone has something to add to this.

i find if there are 3-4 towers custered mortars decimate all of them at the same time pretty quick. i usually try to find the "point" of the cluster also to reduce how many are attacking me. another option might be to go in destroy a few towers, retreat, repair and try again. just be careful not to do this too much or they will get a bubble. and also keep the base damage low or it gets bubbled alsoi usually have a marauder in my fleet which takes the first few hits leaving my mortar bbs to get closer. maybe some good armor on that marauder will decoy long enough to get a couple salvos off

sneak in quickly

some bases that you attack may only have defence on one side, so get a Maurader or 2 to take hits while your bbs rush in quickly out of range of the turrets. PROFIT in 293 has this sort of base defence so you can sneak in quickly even without taking his turrets out even though he is lvl 22. easy, his cords are 175747,287
