Letter of Resignation,,,
Hello all,
This is me officially resigning from my post as officer. No, I have not turned anti-alliance, nor am I mad at anyone. It's mostly due to time constraints, but there are two reasons why I have come to this Decision.
1) Time. I recently got a new job after being unemployed for a few months. It's a great job, but a busy one. Plus, It's out of state, so I commute over 3 hours a day until I can find/afford a place to relocate to. So, and 8 hour workday, plus the commute, turns it into 11 hours... get home... feed, let out, and excersize/play with the dog... eat... and I'm exhausted and ready for bed. Today I logged on for the first time in 3 days, and I don't see it getting any better, any time in the immediate future.
2) I have come to the conclusion, that although I may show the right qualities that led to my receiving the offer to become an officer... there are other qualities I have, that aren't quite right. For one, my temperment. Add to that, my lack of verbal filter, and well... we all see what happens. Perhaps it is due to my long run in the US Armed Forces, and other leadership positions I've held, but I have a very "no bull ****" attitude. And when I'm pushed to the limit, I'm honest... 100% honest... and brutaly honest at that. I don't pull punches, I don't handle people with "kid gloves", and I say what's on my mind. Where that may have worked in other positions... I don't think it works here. I think an officer here, needs to know how to be a "people person", and be able to handle situations without offending or hurting others feelings. This, is my shortcoming, and I can not do that.
Although I am stepping down as an officer... I still pledge myself 100% to our alliance. I will still follow the rules... I will still uphold, and protect the rules... I will still act against those who defiles our rules... I will still answer the call of my comrades in need... and I will continue to bring a storm of whoop-ass to our neighboring sectors! I'm a loyal follower... just probably not the best choice for a leader.
Apologies to any I offended during my short stint as officer.

I agree with everything Gepler has said. But it also takes a great courage. Thank you for your service and the hopes of making this the ultimate alliance in BP. You have but to ask, and we will be there. See you on the seas.
