Is it just me or is chat becoming clogged up with nonstop irrelevant clutter. At least 3 times today a shout for help was nearly missed due to this. Even the repeat call and the response from those that did see it is drowned out. This is also making comms during raids/battle confusing.

When all is quiet i have no problem but can people please keep an eye on what else is going on and if it looks like battle comms then keep the 'come try my base' chat n such like down a bit.

I try to respond to every help shout if i can but it is getting hard to pick them out right now. And if you are one of the talkers, it may be that day that i miss your help call!!!!

Cheers all

I agree people need to stop saying "Try my base" And "Bubble me" People need to stop and listen to the help calls!

I completely disagree. Chat is there for many things, to include getting to know each other and bond as a team.

Please, do not reduce the chatter and have fun Smile

Reduce the chat Empty Balance of fun chat and combat chat

I see both points of view and hope we can continue the social aspect (the main reason I play - ymmv) until it is time to deal out the butt hurt to the enemies of the sector (number two on my play reasons) without the calls for help getting overlooked. Smile - DPR

Seth, I am all for chat when it is quiet, as i said originally. The social side, helped by being in a sector with a great bunch of people from all over the globe, is one of the best parts of this game. All i was asking is that people keep an eye on what else is going on in the chat and if something significant like a help call or sector response to an internal issue then just hang back for a minute until it appears in hand.

Yes, chat is for many things but it is also one of the reasons why 292 alliance became such a strong team, quickly gathering assistance together in response to a threat. As the number of people on chat is increasing this will inevitably be affected but it is a strong tool in the right hands and invaluable in the fight with our neighbours.

My usual response is to hit the ignore button for offenders (not the right word but brain tired after the resource event!) and try to remember to unignore later. I don't like doing this as it may well be them that gets attacked mid conversation and i will not be aware.

To sum up, yes i am 100% in favour of social interaction via chat and am only asking that everyone just keeps more of an eye out for what else is happening, allows a little space for responses to game related issues to be clearly seen (sometimes blocks of chat come so quickly, things dissappear up screen before I even see them) and then carry on.

Look forward to discussing the weather with you all (yep, i'm British after all) when i next see you online.

Thanks for listening

Lol, that's why sometimes I log on and say "hi" then go quite, I'm still there and when someone needs help I send my fleets, I agree that chatter is good as we get to know each other but most of the time I log on just after work and not very chatty, until I have a few bourbons- but I still monitor and respond to anyone requesting assistance....btw I work at a brewery Very Happy Cheers.
