Officer Responses Requested - Revenge Hits Now Allowed Clarification

Saw today on chat a player advising another player that 'Revenge Hits' without posting or officer approval isn't required. As far as I know, our protocol has not changed and either an online officer can sanction base/fleet attackbacks (the O posts an entry into the forum) or the player creates a post to be reviewed by the O's for appropriate sanctions. As ever a player can defend themselves but still can't take offensive/retaliatory action on their own.

Would like as many officers as possible to respond so we can clarify for our players.

I have given NO SUCH information out with regards these attacks. Rules as far as i am aware are still the same as they have been

REVENGE ATTACKS (aka. I'm Gonna Get You For That)

If there is an Officer online at the time of the player wanting a Revenge Attack, the player can request permission for revenge and the Officer can grant it if they feel it is warranted after considering the circumstances. If there are no officers online, a Revenge Attack can be done ONLY IF the player posts a Player Dispute to the forum detailing the prior attack on them (battle log screen shot/text copy.) If you are unable to perform the Revenge Attack on a base or fleet(s) yourself, you can ask another person to do it for you and that attempt will count as revenge taken regardless of success or failure. Players who act on another player's behalf DO NOT get to take revenge against the player they attack (the price you pay for helping the attacked player get revenge is the person you attacked gets to hit back in kind, so choose wisely.)
