A strong 292!!
I have been in sector 292 since before bes (our great leader) came up with the idea to form an alliance out of the rubble that was sector 292 at the time. I have seen great deeds been done (none mentioned, none forgotten), and some not so great things. I haven't been the one to speak up in sector comms or in this forum, because I believe each person are titled to play their own game.
But as of lately the moral in sector 292 has gone down the drain. Well that's not all fair, cause there are several players that put others wellbeeing befor their own. I'm not saying that all inhabitants should scramble each time there is a call to arms because not everybody can be online at any give moment due to the fact that the earth is round and divided in to several time zones.
Some of the older players (in terms of play time, not actual age) are trying to make living in sector 292 as plesant for the regulars and the newcomers as possible. I am not going mention names, but I think those I refer to know who they are (I am not one of them). But instead of beeing greatful, some players are beeing downright rude to those who are trying to help them. Not good at all.
I have been traveling to different sectors, and what I have seen is an attempt at beeing as good as 292 are. (they, of course, don't know that) They lack the unity that has been displayed in sector 292 from the beginning. That unity have been praised by our former enemies time and time again. (Cruel, DeFlorre and Ironman2 to mention a few) <- those where formidable adversaries imho.
I would like sector 292 to return to that formetioned unity that makes sector 291/293 think two times before they attack 292. Lets not argue about salvage or other petty differences. If someone takes your salvage fleet, just ask some of the others to open some more for you. It will just take a moment. I know it is annoying to get your salvs nicked, but there will be more salvs along. Lets not make a big thing out of small issues. More important don't fill comms trying to talk your opponent to boredom. If you find someone rude/abusive, it is best to ignore those players (or just report them to Kixeye). There will always be someone that tries to push your buttons any chance they get.
I hereby pledge my fleets to the cause of sector 292. May lady fortune smile upon them.
My two cents.
Yours truly
