Thoughts for officer
I feel the need for additional officers is a healthy choice for our constantly growing sector.
I would like to nominate the following people as Officers in the 292 alliance;
KillaDropBear - For his constant awareness of our forum and happenings since day one as well as his knowledge of the people and great attitude through thick and thin
Outlaw-Capt-Scott - Scott has a very level head and knows how to prioritize whats important for the well being of the sector, I have consulted to him for advice and pointers in the past with positive results politically.
Plus both these players have the fleets and confidence to back the decisions that need made in our lovely 292.

Re: Thoughts for officer
Thanks Powder for the vote of confidence....as many people already know I'm here to help our sector and will continue to do so whether I'm accepted or not...it's just a game and I know sometimes it can get frustrating, especially when we have new people move into the sector but this sector is our family and I'm here to stay and to help each and everyone of you, cheers Killadropbear.

If you want reasoning;
I feel that the angles and guidelines to become an officer are not too strong in your actions an words. I like you as a friend and enjoy playing with you but I don't have any reasoning as to how you can benefit being in officer rankings.
Now I have a question for you...
Why are you so eager to become an officer Wistler?

I have been a career officer all my life now I'm a 46 year old decorated war veteran I've coordinated battles for real I am totally qualified to inform you that I really know what I'm talking about. I have studied the battle actions from the beginning of recorded time through the Romans to the sea battles of the athenians an holsies Atlantic campaign. I play this game with a very light hearted manner because it is entertaining and I feel I can use my extensive knowledge of combat scenarios to bear in a constructive way I have no intention to say that I deserve a place for these reasons but I can tell you morale is a basic tennent of warfare and entertaining the troops makes for a happy sector . But I don't think you should ever presume to tell anyone that they are unqualified because that is your opinion made without knowing facts and may not be for the better good. I think this sector is run by the few who will are unwilling to grow as the sector grow this mistake has been reported time and time again through time and is as common as war itself . it makes no difference whether it is in a game as this, or the real thing. sorry for giving you both barrels but I feel that you comments are at least a bit insultingPowder wrote:If you want reasoning;

Patience is a virtue
Having patience and keeping a level train of thought are very important when commanding a video game. I have not said you cannot do the job, mearly saying that I feel this particular one is not meant for you. This is a game and very different from any real life scenario, you cannot control people here like you can in a military environment. Players have free will.
With that being said you have to keep command by finding people that share your same passion and understandings and relate with them by by having fun in unison. The truth to it is the people who play regularly and actively in comms are the ones who run our sector, not Officers. Being an Officer means that you have less privileges in my eyes, that is why I ask why your eagerness, and yes my words are my opinion as no one will know your motives better than yourself.
I have no military background, nor experience in real life warfare...
All i have is a nerds passion for video games and a lot of friends that trust in the decisions I make and the actions I take

I feel that my comment were a tad harsh but i do disagree with your points . you would be amazed how interlinked cyber world has to modern warfare . I used computer models such as this to predict outcomes . it sounds like fantasy but I assure you it happens I could easily pick out from our sector members who would be a successful leader and those that would be better suited to being advised .Powder wrote:Patience is a virtue
